Old Snowmass and Snowmass Village are not the same, although they're located in the same general area in Colorado.

Snowmass Village is a ski resort located in Pitkin County, Colorado. It was developed in the 1960s and has grown into a popular destination for winter sports, particularly skiing and snowboarding. The Village has a range of accommodations, dining, and shopping options, primarily aimed at tourists and vacationers. It's known for its family-friendly atmosphere and its proximity to the Snowmass ski area, which offers over 3,300 acres of skiable terrain.

On the other hand, Old Snowmass is a more residential, rural area that's located about 20 minutes' drive from Snowmass Village. It is a part of the larger Snowmass community, but it's not a ski resort. Old Snowmass is known for its picturesque setting amidst mountains and valleys, and its real estate largely consists of single-family homes, ranches, and farms. It's a quieter, less commercialized area that offers a peaceful and serene living environment.

In summary, the main difference between the two is their purpose and character: Snowmass Village is a bustling ski resort, while Old Snowmass is a tranquil residential community.

Old Snowmass, CO offers a lifestyle rich in tranquility and natural beauty. It is a place of solitude, marked by wide-open spaces and towering mountains. Whether you're a writer seeking inspiration, a recreational rancher, or a nature lover, Old Snowmass is an ideal location. In the summer, the area comes alive with hikers, cyclists, and horseback riders exploring its vast trails, including the popular Capitol Creek and Snowmass Lake trails. Amid the nearby glamour of Aspen, Old Snowmass maintains a traditional, bucolic standard of Western ranch living, offering serene and picturesque views of the Roaring Fork Valley.
